I’m very motivated to own the best-designed version of everything. Often we feel that we have to buy an ugly product because that’s just the way it is. That’s dumb! So I’ve found what I think are the best products that most people need, and I’m sharing them on this site. I own every product I review.

I often recommend products to friends, or answer the question, “Where did you get that.” Like many people, I spend an inordinate amount of time looking at Amazon for things that are the best. I will search through pages and pages of products, try think of inventive ways to use things, and sometimes try two or three different versions of a product, until I find what I feel is the best looking product without sacrificing function.

My taste is typically simple, modern, made from natural materials, and can skew technology-focused. It may not be everyone’s idea of perfect, but maybe it jives with you and you find my recommendations helpful.

I spend a lot of time thinking:

  • 🙄 Why is that logo there?
  • 😐 This is great, but why did they do that?
  • 😩 I need more candles.
  • 🤷‍♂️ I guess IKEA isn’t that bad.
  • 🤔 Are these really the best measuring cups?
  • 🤑 Will I ever buy those 300-dollar-each copper pots?
  • 😱 A kitchen supply store!

Disclaimer: I will make a commission from Amazon if you buy something from one of my links (heck yeah take money from corporations and give it to the people). Also I’m an American living in Berlin, which is why there are both German and American Amazon links. I tried my best to find products that were the same on both sites.
